The SUNNY Act, which would enable New Yorkers to plug in solar panels and offset their electricity bills with clean energy, was passed with huge bi-partisan support by the New York legislature back in June.

But, months later, the bill is STILL waiting for Governor Hochul's signature. Meanwhile New Jersey, Connecticut, California and many other states have had similar bills signed and made law this year.

So what's the hold up? Why, when utility bills are soaring, is this common-sense bill still languishing on the Governor's to-do list? To move things along, we think Governor Hochul needs to hear from as many of us as possible that plug-in solar is something that New Yorkers want ASAP!

Use this tool to write your own message to Governor Hochul, urging her to sign the SUNNY Act and finally make plug-in solar a reality for New Yorkers.
